Hot Face 🥵

This emoji depicts a flushed face with wide, panicked eyes and a bright red complexion, complete with a tongue sticking out and wispy heat lines radiating from the forehead. The exaggerated redness and distressed expression capture that moment of pure physical overwhelm.

People use the hot face to complain about sweltering weather, stuffy rooms, or lack of air conditioning—basically any situation where you're literally overheating. But it's also used more creatively: reacting to an embarrassingly spicy meal, indicating fever when you're sick, or even playfully suggesting someone is attractive (borrowing from the "fire" = hot trend in slang).

One quirk: the spiral or wavy lines above the head differ slightly between platforms—Apple's version looks especially dramatic with prominent sweat beads. This emoji was approved as part of Unicode Emoji 11.0 in 2018, arriving alongside a suite of other face-condition icons that gave people more nuanced ways to express physical discomfort.
