Hourglass Done ⌛️

Sand has settled to the bottom of a two-chambered glass vessel, the upper chamber now empty and the lower chamber full—time has run out. The hourglass is depicted in profile, often with a dark wooden or metallic frame holding the glass bulbs, emphasizing its role as a precise timekeeper. It's the visual representation of finality, completion, and moments slipping away.

People use this emoji when time has expired, deadlines have passed, or processes have finished. It appears in work messages about completed tasks, exam periods ending, or waiting periods concluding. It's also used more dramatically to represent the passage of time, mortality, or those inevitable countdowns that make us anxious.
